Felipe is a Chilean independent filmmaker distinguished by his interdisciplinary fusion of
cinema, music, and contemporary art. He completed his studies in Film and Scriptwriting at
the International Film School of Cuba (EICTV). Since then, he has directed numerous
independent projects, earning acclaim in film festivals and ensuring widespread circulation
and distribution.
After a two-year tenure as a scriptwriter for TV and Cinema in Mexico, Felipe expanded his
professional horizons. Following his participation in the Locarno International Film Festival in
2015, he relocated to Tokyo. Over the ensuing three years, he directed Jazz, Dance, and Art
content, including music videos, documentaries, and live performances, collaborating with
notable Japanese artists such as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Yuko Mohri, Soil & "PIMP" Sessions,
Motoharu Fukada, among others.
Residing in Germany since 2018, Felipe earned a Master's degree in Arts at the
Internationale Filmschule of Cologne. Currently, he is involved in freelance work as a
filmmaker and videographer, collaborating with international musicians and contemporary
artists in Europe. As a co-founder of MamaHilda Films, a pan-Latin production house, Felipe
assumes the role of executive producer, facilitating content distribution in European markets.
In his role as a film director for independent cinema, Felipe brings a distinctive artistic vision
to the forefront, crafting visual narratives anchored in the elements of music and fine arts.
Simultaneously, he holds a lecturer position for the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies at the
University of Landshut in Bayern, Germany. In this capacity, he imparts knowledge and
insights on film, arts, and intercultural awareness, shaping the next generation of media and
filmmaking professionals.
