Felipe is a filmmaker, producer and writer. His work is characterised by an interdisciplinary connection between cinema, music, poetry and free form elements of contemporary art.
After receiving his Bachelor on Film and Scriptwriting at the prestigious International Film School of Cuba (EICTV), Felipe founded along his colleague Alonso Viquez the producer house MamaHilda. Along which Felipe has directed several documentary films, all of them with presence in film festivals and distribution, as well as being executive producer for the distribution of Latin-American film content in the European market.
Felipe worked for two years as a scriptwriter for TV and Cinema in Mexico, and after being part of the Locarno International Film Festival in 2015, he migrated to Tokyo. There, he worked for 3 years as a director for Jazz and Art documentaries, music videos and live performances along artists such as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Motoharu Fukada, Yuko Mohri, Soil& "PIMP" Sessions, among others.
Since 2018 Felipe lives in Germany, where he obtained his Master on Arts on Production for Digital Narratives at the Internationale Filmschule of Cologne.
Currently, Felipe is a teacher for media and filmmaking at the University of Landshut in Bayern, Germany. He also works as a freelance filmmaker and videographer for international musicians and contemporary artists in Europe, while also developing new projects along Mamahilda.
